Drop and Give me 20!!

My life as a trainer is everything I would have hoped it would be and so much more.  Day in and day out I get to work with some amazing individuals and help change their lives for the better.  It’s these individuals who taken on the difficult task of actively reaching out for help and getting on the right path to being healthier happier people…  And, I am always grateful that those people have chosen me to be apart of their journey.  No job is ever perfect, but mine is not too far off…

There are a myriad of reasons and benefits to having a trainer.  We can help create a suitable workout guide to follow as well as an eating regimen that can compliment said workouts that woiuld be key in achieving your goals.  I have been training for 12 years and I definitely have the experience to know what works and what doesn’t.  I also am a bit of a nerd and tend to read everything I can get my hands on when it come to staying up on the latest fitness trends.  I truly breathe, live, and dream about fitness and could not see myself having any other type of career.

Though my enthusiasm and passion for fitness and training others is prolific beyond words, this doesn’t mean staying in shape is easy for me.  Many times it is a trainer who needs a trainer in order to stay on top of their game.  From time to time my workouts get put on hold due to the fact of not finding the time because of scheduled clients or travel.  Motivation can be lost and workouts tend to get stale– I feel this is the number one reason to have a trainer.

Throughout the years I have found that it is much more exciting and fun to work out with others, and that I’m able to push myself harder.  This is why I choose to take classes from other trainers.  Not only do I learn things about teaching fitness that I might not have known before, but I’m able to enjoy my hour a lot more than if I were to do it on my own.  But that is just me.  There are those who do not lack in motivation and are able to have killer workouts by themselves.  I commend you, but am glad not everyone is like that.. Otherwise, I’d be out of a job!

This month I’ve decided to go on a strict eating plan of Paleo just so I could experience what my clients go through.  I like to put myself in their shoes as much as possible just to keep my goals for them realistic.  I want to know the in’s and out’s of their daily struggles with fitness and staying on track with not only their eating, but budgeting their time to stay the course while dealing with any obstacle that may arise. This gives me a better understanding of reality and what plan of action I must take to get them back on track.

I truly owe it to my fellow trainers whose classes that I attend.  I thank them for not viewing me as Superwoman or giving me less attention just because I am a trainer myself.  They treat me as a normal participant and even sometimes give me more attention, just because they know what my capabilities are and strive to push me to reach my full potential.  I could not have achieved my level of fitness without them.  I find that having a trainer is the most beneficial decision anyone can make who is trying to create a long and fulfilling healthy life for themselves.  Why you may ask?  Here are some of my top reasons of why that trainer will benefit you more than just giving you a good workout. ( And yes, to answer your question, I am available to be yours! Just say the word…)

Reason 1: Motivator and accountability management

Reason 2: Reach and maintain a healthy weight

Reason 3: Help to get on a program and stick with it

Reason 4: Find the right way to work out and tracking progress

Reason 5: Be the most efficient time keeper

Reason 6: Learn new skills and refreshing new routines

Reason 7: Enhance your mind, body, and spirit

Most important reason 8: Role model and friend for life
